Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority - The Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority, HRRA, is a regional, governmental, waste management and recycling authority serving eleven municipalities in western Connecticut, including New Fairfield with a population of 250,000 people. http://hrra.org
Candlewood Lake Authority - The Candlewood Lake Authority provides lake, shoreline and watershed management to foster the preservation and enhancement of recreational, economic, scenic, public safety and environmental values of the Lake for the City of Danbury and the Towns of Brookfield, New Fairfield, New Milford and Sherman in cooperation with the State of Connecticut and Northeast Utilities. http://candlewoodlakeauthority.org

Ball Pond Advisory Committee - The Ball Pond Advisory Committee (BPAC) advises the Selectmen on sound lake management practices for Ball Pond. New Fairfield Inland Wetlands/Conservation Commission - The New Fairfield Inland Wetlands/Conservation Commission is charged with protecting and preserving wetlands and watercourses in the Town of New Fairfield from random, unnecessary, undesirable and unregulated uses, disturbance or destruction. New Fairfield Water Pollution Control Authority - The goal of the WPCA is to have and maintain a wastewater management program, which will protect the residents of New Fairfield from exposure to biological, microbiological, and chemical substances in wastewater, which are likely to cause hazardous health conditions. Preserve New Fairfield - Preserve New Fairfield is a group of citizens interesting in the preservation of the heritage of New Fairfield. The group is open to anyone wanting to join. Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials - The Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials (HVCEO) is a voluntary regional coordinating body for ten municipalities in western Connecticut, i.e. Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman. The Council has the responsibility under federal law to prepare a regional transportation plan, and under state law a regional land use plan.
